| 12 | 2026-05-11 | MINUTES: MINUTE entry before the Honorable Andrea R. Wood: Telephonic status hearing held on 05/07/2026. Plaintiff's counsel appeared by telephone. For the reasons stated on the record, Plaintiff's motion for temporary restraining order [10] is denied. The Court finds that Plaintiff's submission does not support a finding of a likelihood of success on the merits or that personal jurisdiction is likely to be proper for the Defendants. In addition, the Court notes that the accused products appear to differ significantly, based on the screenshoots, and therefore the Court is skeptical that joinder is proper under 35 U.S.C. 299(a). Accordingly, by 5/22/2026, Plaintiff shall file either a supplemental brief supporting joinder of the Defendants in one case or, alternatively, an amended complaint including only defendants properly joined under 299(a). If Plaintiff chooses to amend the complaint, a joinder brief may be submitted but is not required. Plaintiff's motion to seal [7] is granted. Telephonic status hearing set for 6/5/2026 at 8:45 AM. The call-in number is (650) 479-3207 and the access code is 1808131170. To ensure public access to court proceedings, members of the public and media may call in to listen to telephonic hearings. Persons granted remote access to proceedings are reminded of the general prohibition against photographing, recording, and rebroadcasting of court proceedings. Violation of these prohibitions may result in sanctions, including removal of court-issued media credentials, restricted entry to future hearings, denial of entry to future hearings, or any other sanctions deemed necessary by the Court. |
